• The OS/X Mavericks ships with Java 1.6, but in case you've installed another version, you can get back with 1.6 if you download a bundle of Java SE 1.6.065 from Apple. If you've installed a later version of Java, e.g. 1.7, for all users, installing the bundle mentioned above will most likely break your existing newer installation.
• Yesterday, Apple released Java SE version 1.6.005 for 64-bit Intel-based Mac OS X 10.5.2 or later. Download it here! It's restricted to 64-bit machines and Charles is unhappy about it. Hopefully, they'll release a 32-bit version as well. Type 'swvers' in a terminal to check the Mac OS X version as shown below.

• The Kerberos client has been enhanced with the support of principal name canonicalization and cross-realm referrals, as defined by the RFC 6806 protocol extension.
• As a result of this new feature, the Kerberos client can take advantage of more dynamic environment configurations and does not necessarily need to know (in advance) how to reach the realm of a target principal (user or service).
• Support is enabled by default and 5 is the maximum number of referral hops allowed. To turn it off, set the sun.security.krb5.disableReferrals security or system property to false. To configure a custom maximum number of referral hops, set the sun.security.krb5.maxReferrals security or system property to any positive value.

I just purchased an iMac running on Mac OS X 10.8.2 Mountain Lion.
My attempt at installing both AC14 and AC16 came to the same prompt: -
'To open 'ArchiCAD Installer', you need a Java SE 6 runtime. Would you like to install one now?'.
I clicked on 'Install', and the system started searching for the software and seemed like it was going to install. Midway, it stopped and the prompt read: -
'The update 'Java for OS X 2012-006' can't be installed. The update could not be verified. It may have been corrupted during downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs'.
I tried many times, but it just won't install. Has anyone else experienced this and know how to get about it? Please help! Much appreciated.
